Fairview, NC – Today, the Blue Dog PAC announced its endorsement of Jamie Ager for Congress in North Carolina’s 11th Congressional District. Ager is a fourth-generation farmer, business owner, and proud son of Western North Carolina who is running to bring thoughtful, locally rooted leadership to Washington.
“Congress is full of people talking about what their daddy did for a living — folks who say they’re farmers but just own a farm. We don’t need more landlords, we need people like Jamie who actually make their living on the land, sunburnt, and making ends meet honestly,” said the Blue Dog PAC. “Jamie is as Western North Carolina as they come. He was born there, he’s built his life and business there, and there’s no question that his loyalties lie with his neighbors and with the communities they call home.”
“This campaign is about delivering for the people of Western North Carolina, not political games or partisan agendas — and that’s what the Blue Dogs are all about,” said Jamie Ager. “I’m proud to be a Blue Dog and Mountain Democrat.”
Raised on his family’s farm in Fairview, Ager helped build Hickory Nut Gap Farm into a successful business supporting local jobs and regional farmers. His campaign is focused on building economic agency and restoring accountable, people-first leadership — a stark contrast to the divisive record of Rep. Chuck Edwards.
