WASHINGTON—Today, the co-chairs of the Blue Dog Task Force on Infrastructure and Job Creation—Reps. Joe Cunningham (SC-01) and Mikie Sherrill (NJ-11)—and the co-chairs of the Blue Dog Task Force on Rural Opportunity—Reps.

WASHINGTON—Today, the Blue Dog Coalition, which focuses on issues related to fiscal responsibility and national security, announced its endorsement ofH.R. 2483, Fentanyl Sanctions Act. This legislation would apply pressure on the Chinese government to honor its commitment to make all forms of fentanyl illegal and provide the United States more tools and resources to go after illicit traffickers in China, Mexico, and other countries. It was introduced in the House by Reps.

WASHINGTON—Yesterday, House Majority Whip James E. Clyburn launched a newHouse Task Force on Rural Broadbandto provide coordination and leadership to end the rural-digital divide. The Task Force will work to advance solutions to ensure all Americans have access to high-speed internet by 2025.

No Budget, No Pay would prevent House and Senate members from receiving their salary if they miss annual deadlines for budget and appropriations bills, and they would not be paid retroactively.

Today, the Blue Dog Co-Chair for Communications, Rep. Lou Correa (CA-46) issued the following statement on H.R. 1, For the People Act of 2019, which passed the U.S. House of Representatives. H.R. 1 included several Blue Dog Coalition priorities, such as securing our elections, redistricting reform, increasing transparency on Presidential Inaugural Committee (PIC) funding, and increasing oversight to prevent government leaders from misusing tax dollars on lavish flights and unnecessary military air travel.
