Jake Johnson is a high school math teacher, husband, father of four, and Southern Minnesotan who grew up in Stewartville as one of eleven children of a garbage man and a meter reader. He has taught math in Rochester for 20 years, worked through public budget fights as a government relations coordinator, and served on the board of the Minnesota Jump$tart Coalition to improve financial literacy for kids. Jake brings Southern Minnesota a teacher’s patience for hard problems, with a focus on lowering the cost of groceries, utilities, and health care, passing a bipartisan farm bill, funding rural hospitals, and holding a town hall in every one of the district’s 21 counties.
