Bill Hill is a Dena’ina Athabascan, commercial fisherman, educator, union construction worker, small business owner, and lifelong Alaskan from Naknek in Bristol Bay. He grew up in the village of Kokhanok on Iliamna Lake, joined his father on the family drift boat at 12, has fished every Bristol Bay season since, spent 25 years as a teacher, principal, and superintendent, and was named Alaska Superintendent of the Year in 2023. Bill brings Alaska a grounded understanding of rural life, public schools, and fishing communities, with a focus on lowering costs, funding schools, and banning stock trading by members of Congress.
