Four Blue Dog Candidates Added to DCCC Red to Blue Program

WASHINGTON, DC. – Today Blue Dog PAC Chair Adam Gray (CA-13) released the following statement after the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee added four Blue Dog PAC-endorsed candidates to its competitive Red to Blue program: Dr. Jasmeet Bains in CA-22, Bob Brooks in PA-07, Bobby Pulido in TX-15, and Johnny Garcia in TX-35.

“The path back to a Democratic House majority runs through the Blue Dogs. Jasmeet Bains, Bob Brooks, Bobby Pulido, and Johnny Garcia are solid candidates because they know their communities. They’ve lived there, worked there, and understand what matters to the people they want to represent.

Adding all four to Red to Blue is the right call and a smart move by Chair Suzan DelBene and the DCCC team. If we want to build real, sustainable majorities, we have to show up everywhere and run candidates who fit their districts. Voters can see the difference.”

Six Blue Dog PAC-endorsed candidates are now on the DCCC’s Red to Blue list. Half of Blue Dogs serving in Congress today were elected in seats won by Donald Trump in 2024.

The Blue Dog PAC works to support the House Blue Dogs, a coalition of House Democrats who stand for fiscal stability and national security. Blue Dogs embrace bipartisanship and work to find common sense solutions to the challenges facing our country. Blue Dogs have been at the center of the most important bipartisan policy agreements in Congress over the last 25 years.

Blue Dog PAC Endorses Thien Ho for California’s 6th Congressional District

Ho’s Record of Upholding the Rule of Law and Holding Violent Criminals and Corrupt Actors Accountable Makes Him the Right Choice for California’s 6th

WASHINGTON, D.C. Blue Dog PAC today announced its endorsement of Thien Ho in California’s 6th Congressional District, pointing to his record of keeping communities safe, enforcing the rule of law, and building the kind of broad coalition it takes to win in November.

Ho is a 25-year veteran prosecutor who was elected Sacramento County District Attorney in 2022 after previously serving as Assistant Chief Deputy DA overseeing the Justice and Community Relations Bureau. As District Attorney, he has prosecuted violent criminals, taken on the fentanyl crisis, and stood up for victims. As a prosecutor, Thien has held bad actors accountable and pushed back against efforts to rig the system, ensuring the law is applied fairly to everyone – not just those with power, money, or influence.

“Thien Ho has spent his career doing the hard work of keeping Californians safe, and he’s got the record to prove it,” said Rep. Adam Gray (CA-13), Blue Dog PAC Chair. “He’s prosecuted violent offenders, taken on fentanyl traffickers, and worked with law enforcement to get results. Folks are looking for leaders who are practical and steady – who know how to roll up their sleeves and get to work. Thien has proven he can get the job done, and it’s why he’ll be a great representative for his community.”

“I’m honored to have the support of the Blue Dog PAC,” said Thien Ho. “For more than two decades, I’ve worked to keep our communities safe and deliver results for working families. In Congress, I will bring that same focus to improving the lives of families in my community – whether that’s lowering housing and everyday costs, protecting access to healthcare, or supporting our small businesses and local economy.”

WASHINGTON, D.C. — Blue Dog PAC today announced its endorsement of Bob Brooks in Pennsylvania’s 7th Congressional District, pointing to his record of service in public safety and his lifelong commitment to putting the Lehigh Valley’s working families first.
Bob Brooks spent 20 years as a Bethlehem firefighter and currently serves as President of the Pennsylvania Professional Fire Fighters Association, the union representing 8,000 firefighters across Pennsylvania. He has built one of the broadest coalitions of any Democratic challenger this cycle – reflecting the kind of cross-cutting appeal that wins in competitive districts like PA-07.
“Protecting collective bargaining and health care are why I’m a Democrat and why Bob Brooks is one too,” said Blue Dog and Congressman Jared Golden of Maine.
“Like all Blue Dogs, Bob would have voted against last summer’s Republican megabill, which was a massive tax giveaway for the rich paid for by gutting health care for working families and exploding the deficit. And like all Blue Dogs, Bob will represent the people of his district in Congress ahead of any outside national political agenda. Blue Dog PAC is glad to endorse Bob Brooks and will help him flip this Trump-won seat back from red to blue,” Golden continued.
“I’m grateful to have the support of the Blue Dogs,” said Bob Brooks. “I’ve spent my career standing up for better pay, better healthcare, and safer working conditions for all workers. That’s what being a Democrat means to me. The Blue Dogs have that same mentality, and I look forward to bringing that fight to Washington for the people of the Lehigh Valley.”
Blue Dog PAC works to support the House Blue Dogs, a coalition of House Democrats who stand for fiscal stability and national security. Blue Dogs embrace bipartisanship and work to find common sense solutions to the challenges facing our country. Blue Dogs have been at the center of the most important bipartisan policy agreements in Congress over the last 25 years.

Bob Brooks is the seventh candidate endorsed by Blue Dog PAC this election cycle. Half of Blue Dogs serving in Congress today were elected in seats won by Donald Trump in 2024.
