Don Coover

KS-02

Don Coover is a veterinarian, rancher, and Army veteran who grew up the second of seven children on a small dairy farm in Southeast Kansas. After graduating from West Point, he served more than ten years in the Army as an infantry officer and pilot. He then earned his veterinary degree at Kansas State and went back into the Army to care for its K-9 units. Today he and his wife, Traci, live in Galesburg, where he runs a cattle genetics company, a working ranch, and a livestock veterinary practice. Don would bring Kansas’ 2nd District a focus on lowering the cost of housing, food, and health care and keeping rural hospitals open.
